Client Agreement

By purchasing my services, it is understood that you have read and agreed to the following guidelines:

As your reader, I am committed to:

  • Show up fully present, prepared, on time, and excited to read for you.

  • Adhere to my code of ethics, which is included in this document.

  • Hear your concerns and help you formulate a powerful question before the reading.

  • Choose a spread that will be most appropriate to provide insight into your question.

  • Interpret the cards in a compassionate, straightforward way.

As the client, you agree to:

  • Show up on time, and be prepared to participate in your reading.

  • Come prepared with your question(s).

  • Be open and curious about whatever messages may emerge during your reading.

  • Attend your reading with a clear mind, unimpaired by any mind-altering substances.

  • Be a co-creator of your reading, i.e., showing up fully present, engaged in a two-way dialogue, and sharing your reflections.

  • NOT use tarot readings as a substitute for medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice.

Eligibility for Services

  • Tarot readings are available to individuals 18 years or older.

  • I reserve the right to refuse service and offer a refund if I believe we are not a good fit or if you show up impaired or under the influence of mind-altering substances.

  • If you are a current or past therapy client of mine, you are not eligible to receive tarot services from me.

  • Standard 1:1 tarot readings are for one person per session. If you’d like to have a tarot reading with a partner, friend, or any third party, please inquire before booking for group tarot offerings and rates.

Tarot Readings Guidelines

  • Our appointments will start and end at the agreed-upon time.

  • During your appointment, we will create a sacred space, clear our energy, and discuss your situation and questions. I will choose the appropriate spread(s) for your question(s), and interpret the cards accordingly. We will discuss the meaning of your cards, with time for processing, clarification, and action steps.

  • Virtual Tarot readings will be automatically recorded. If you would like to opt out of recording your session, please notify me before our appointment.

  • If you reach out after your reading is complete with any follow-up questions or to throw a few more cards, I will direct you to book another reading so that we can give adequate space and time to your question.

  • I do not offer emergency readings.

Booking and Payment

  • Payment for sessions is due at the time of booking.

  • Refunds are not available once a reading has been completed.

Cancelation & No-Show Policy

  • You must cancel at least 48 hours before your appointment, otherwise, you will be responsible for the full price of your reading.

  • If you come to a session late, it will still have to end at the agreed-upon time out of consideration to those who have appointments after yours.

  • If you do not show up (i.e., no-show) for the appointment, you will be charged the full price of the reading.

Confidentiality Limitations

  • Your tarot reading and what is shared are private unless I have reason to believe you may be a danger to yourself or others.

  • As a mandatory reporter, I am obligated to make a report to local authorities if I suspect a child or elder is or has experienced abuse.

Service Scope and Limitations

  • Tarot readings are not therapy. I do not diagnose or provide treatment for a mental health disorder during tarot readings. If I believe therapy is necessary, I will refer you to a licensed provider.

  • I am not a psychic medium. If you require these services, I will direct you to a professional medium.

  • My services are not meant to substitute for psychological, legal, financial, or medical advice or care. By purchasing my services, you agree that I cannot be held responsible for any actions or events that may take place after our session.

How I Believe Tarot Works

  • I believe Tarot to be a powerful secular or spiritual tool to help us bypass our conditioned, thinking mind and tap into our subconscious mind and intuition. Tarot allows us to make connections and see patterns that may not be accessible via other means.

  • For those with spiritual beliefs, I believe Tarot can be a powerful channel or conduit for what our guides, higher self, Spirit or Universe may be trying to communicate to us. However, I don't believe that it’s possible to “miss” any messages in Tarot that come via guides nor will “misinterpreting” them cause us harm.

  • Whether secular or spiritual, I believe that all messages from the Tarot are benevolent and serve our highest good.

My Code of Ethics as a Tarot Reader

  1. I will serve the best interests of my clients with professionalism, compassion, and integrity. I will provide tarot readings in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner.

  2. I will maintain the privacy of my client and will not share client information without prior approval. As a mandatory report, I may have to break confidentiality if I have reason to believe a child or elder may be in danger or have experienced abuse.

  3. I will share what I see in the tarot cards with honesty, kindness, and curiosity. I don’t believe there are ‘bad cards’, but some may have more difficult messages than others. I will do my best to share all messages from the Tarot cards with clarity and straightforwardness.

  4. I will not read for clients where they are at risk of danger to themselves or others, or where another scope of services (i.e. mental, legal, medical services) would be more appropriate for the client.

  5. I read the Tarot for guidance in all areas of life. However, if the client needs advice in any area for which I am not qualified, or outside of the role I’m in as a tarot reader, I will encourage the client to seek out professional advice (e.g., medical, legal, or financial).

  6. I cannot provide third-party readings (i.e., What does name think of me?) due to privacy and the importance of spiritual consent. Where possible, I will help the client modify the question to focus the reading on what is related to them and their actions.

  7.  I do not predict the future. I will take an empowering approach to tarot, which means believing in the client’s free will and ability to shape their future. I will provide guidance and insight, but I will not make definitive predictions. While I can explore the energies around the ideal timing of a possible goal, this is still rooted in the client’s agency.

  8. I will allow my clients to take responsibility for the decisions and actions they take following a tarot reading. Tarot reading interactions are strictly consultative. Any actions and decisions made by clients are solely their responsibility.

  9. If there is an unforeseen conflict between my Code of Ethics as a Tarot Reader and that of a Licensed Professional Counselor, I will adhere to my code as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
